Antarctica marine biologist: ‘It’s not the earth that needs saving, it’s us as humans’

Sixty percent of the world’s freshwater is held in Antarctica in an ice sheet that stretches across almost the entire continent.

Much of the continent is uninhabitable by humans, but with global warming contributing to ice loss, our impact is felt nevertheless.

I’ve been speaking to a scientist from the British Antarctic team about the message they want to send to the leaders at COP.
