Since Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ was first published in 1843 it has been reimagined thousands of times.

The tale of Victorian morality has not only endured for centuries, its central themes of capitalism, poverty and inequality feel eerily familiar.

Across the UK, theatres have been retelling the classic – so we sent Minnie Stephenson on a festive tour to see how the Christmas Carol is being retold.
