Vaccine offered to every older resident at eligible care homes in England

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has said that “virtually all” elderly care home residents have now received their first coronavirus vaccination or been given an appointment, describing it as a “crucial milestone”.

But concerns remain over how many staff in England still need to be vaccinated, though ministers say they are working hard to solve this issue, and they admit there is still a long way to go before families will be able to visit care homes safely again.
