Call for increased tuition fees

Vice-chancellors are calling on the government for another increase in tuition fees. Andrew Thomas reports

A survey by Universities UK shows most institutions would like to double the fees that they charge.

However, it also suggests that many students would not apply to university at all if fees were raised beyond £7,000.
