Big screens are being erected around the UK allowing football fans to watch games in a near stadium-like atmosphere.

Whilst millions will be happy to watch the World Cup from the comfort of their sofas, or to cheer their teams along inside pubs, the screens will let others gather in numbers and watch the action on 20 foot high screens.

Channel 4 News presents a list of the big screens around the nation that will be showing games.

Not all the screens will be showing all the games, and a few of the screens will be charging a small ticketing fee.

The majority of the Big Screens however have been organised through the BBC, the London Olympic Live Sites and local councils and will be free to the public.

Londoners in sight of the London Telecom Tower (formerly the BT Tower) will also be able to keep up with the latest scores via a 200ft long screen attached to the top of the tower. The updates will be visible for miles around.

If you know of any other screens that are not on the list, please do contact us and let us know.
