Immigration detention centre healthcare criticised as "inadequate".
Watch the report
Healthcare provision at Yarls Wood, one of the government's flagship immigration detention centres, is inadequate and not geared to the needs of detainees.
Those are the findings of a report published today by Chief Inspector of Prisons Anne Owers.
The report makes 48 recommendations to improve services at the centre, near Bedford, and raises concerns about the effect of prolonged detention on the mental health of detainees.
