Crewe's by-election countdown

By Gary Gibbon

Updated on 19 May 2008

It's make or break for Labour in this week's Crewe by-election as the party faces an uphill battle to hold onto the seat. Gary Gibbon reports.

But at the heart of the campaign is Gordon Brown and his reputation, so how is he viewed on the doorstep?

Our political editor Gary Gibbon has been to Crewe to find out.
