A new series following the stories of nine disabled directors making short films for Channel 4. Sundays from April 13th on Channel 4.

Meet the team

jordan hogg, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Jordan Hogg is studying film at Hull University and would like to take a further degree at the New York Film Academy. He has cerebral palsy, but is a keen sportsman and was a fitness instructor for 4 years. His grandfather died last year, an experience which inspired The Fallen, his drama for The Shooting Party.
matt reed, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Matt Reed is 27 and a graduate of the Channel 4 Researcher Training Programme for people with disabilities. He is a stand-up comedian in his spare time, with an interest in politics. His film, The Matt Reed Chasm of Lower Middle Class Mild Disgruntlement, sets out to discover what it means to be lower middle class.
maddie kitchen, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Maddie Kitchen is 38 and has worked as an AP at the Media Trust. She experienced depression for many years and her film - The Human Whisperer - explores how her relationship with her horse helped her in the process of healing.
nikki fox, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Nikki Fox is 27 and another graduate of the Channel 4 Researcher Training Programme. She currently works as a TV researcher. She studied music as a degree, and is a talented singer and pianist. Nikki has muscular dystrophy. Her film, Follow Me, is a surreal mix of documentary and fantasy, which explores attitudes to disability.
andrew bogle, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Andrew Bogle, 26, is currently studying creative writing with the Open University and is also in the process of writing a novel. In his Shooting Party film - Comically Challenged - Andrew sets himself the task of doing his first stand-up comedy gig without mentioning his disability in his act. Andrew has Cerebral Palsy.
sam dore, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Sam Dore is 30, profoundly deaf and uses BSL. He has worked in television on Channel 4's VEE-TV, and as a writer/director since 1999 with several short films to his name.He has also worked as a presenter and actor. His short film for The Shooting Party is a music video.
shabaaz mohammed, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Shabaaz Mohammed 26, has a BA in TV production and is now studying for an MA in Fictional Film production. His Shooting Party idea is a drama called Underground, which follows a disabled man through the city, exploring his experience of alienation.
phil parker, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Phil Parker works as an artist in-residence at a college of physically and mentally disabled young adults. His film for The Shooting Party, The Gaze, focuses on a childhood experience of being on the outside and stared at, to explore the motivations of people who invite attention.
zoe cartright, part of the shooting party - a crack team of aspiring deaf and disabled film-makers Zoe Cartwright is an art student and a keen photographer and traveller. She has chosen to make her film - 24.7.52.10 - about her experience of tinnitus.
And finally... Joe Powell has Asperger's Syndrome and is a first year documentary and television student at the University of Wales, Newport. Joe joined The Shooting Party and worked on films by Nikki Fox and Andrew Bogle, but left before he made his own film. He was replaced by Phil Parker.
