INTRODUCTION

Hunting Alice Bell is a psychological thriller built around a whodunnit with shades of family drama and social satire. It tells a story for our times: about misogyny, justice, the psychosis of the mob, and about how rumours spread and the devastating effects they cause. All within a story stuffed with cliffhangers, hunting the answer to one big question: who is Alice Bell?

Produced by Clapperboard Studios and created by David Baddiel with Peter Bradshaw, the six-part psychological thriller was co-written by Baddiel, Bradshaw, Polly Buckle and Kate Verghese. Paul Walker directed all episodes.

Hunting Alice Bell will launch on Channel 4 on Wednesday 11th November at 9PM.

What first attracted you to the script for Hunting Alice Bell ? It’s a gripping psychological thriller, but what makes it unique is that the story is told through a woman whose life changes overnight. Fran has a very stable, normal life, and suddenly everything is different. She has to reckon with
