Moez’ family met us on our arrival into Wadi Halfa. This is a town in the north of Sudan on the shores of "Lake Nubia" - the Sudanese side of Lake Nasser.
I had an emotional farewell with Awad and Ahmad who headed back to Omdurman to see their families after nearly 2 months of us travelling together.
We also parted with the camels Burton, Speke and Grant, as we happened upon a man in a local market who asked to buy them. They are probably off on another adventure.
I stayed with Moez in his family home - and ate the most amazing Sudanese Nubian food - whilst I prepared for the next and final phase of the expedition... Egypt.
