Ingredients (makes 12)

50g vegan margarine

120ml soy milk

2tbs sunflower oil

250g sifted flour

100g sugar

tsp baking powder

pinch salt

10g ground cinnamon

dipping sauce – 250g chopped strawberries

100g sugar

tbs rose water

Method

1. Melt the margarine gently in a pan, add the milk and oil, mix well

2. Mix the flour, baking powder, half the sugar, salt

3. Add the wet to dry and combine (don’t overwork the mix)

4. Roll into 12 balls, then press a hole in the middle

5. Deep fry for 3-5mins

6. Take out and roll in sugar and cinnamon

7. Sauce – heat until soft, blend and pass through a sieve

8. Dip the doughnuts in the yummy sauce
