Base – 275g crushed oreos

65ml melted butter

Pinch salt

Filling – 100g sugar

3tbs cornflour

2tbs cocoa powder

725ml whole milk

6 yolks

225g dark chocolate roughly chopped

30g cubed butter

tsp vanilla

Topping –

250ml whipped cream

15g icing sugar

Tsp vanilla

Garnish with crushed oreos


1. Mix the oreos and butter and salt, press into a 22cm pie case, bake at 180c for 12 mins, cool

2. Filling – whisk the cornflour, eggs, sugar etc

3. Bring the milk to the boil

4. Take off the heat, pour onto the egg mix and whisk well

5. Pass through a sieve back into the pan

6. Add the choc and cook on low heat for 8-9 mins

7. Take off the heat, pour onto the biscuit base. Chill overnight

8. Top with the whipped cream etc
