Biscuit dough -

150g cubed butter

75g sugar

1 vanilla pod

225g flour

100g clotted cream

100g strawberry or red cherry jam


1. For the dough - Rub all the ingredients together, roll into a ball, chill 15 mins.

2. Roll out to about 12mm thick.

3. Cut out X8 100mm circles.

4. Cut a small heart out of the middle of four of them.

5. Bake at 175c for 12 mins

6. Once cool spoon a little clotted cream on the top of the whole biscuit side, top with jam, sit the heart cut tops on top.

7. Eat with a nice cup of tea
