600g chopped pitted dates

110g cocoa powder

tbs maple syrup

250g coconut oil

50g desiccated coconut

200g dark chocolate (must be vegan – green and black brand is)

400ml coconut cream

7ml maple

Large pinch of coarse sea salt

30g toasted coconut flakes

fruit to garnish


1. Line a 23cm square tin with parchment

2. Blend the dates etc then press into the tin. Chill 2 hours

3. Bring the coconut cream and maple to the boil. Pour over the choc in a bowl, whisk til v smooth

4. Spoon onto the base, chill 2 hours or until set

5. Sprinkle on coarse sea salt and coconut flakes (toasted)

6. Cut into squares and eat
