200g halved strawberries

50g icing sugar

50ml orange liqueur

5ml rose water

350ml full fat milk

175ml cream

5g vanilla

zest half orange

75g pudding rice, well rinsed

50g butter

75ml condensed milk

sugar for sprinkling on top


1. For the strawberries – combine strawberries with icing sugar, orange liqueur and rose water in a bowl, leave for at least 2 hours

2. Start in the rice pudding. Bring cream, milk, vanilla and orange zest to the boil

3. Add rice, cook gently for approx. 25 minutes until soft

4. Add butter and condensed milk

5. Spoon into an ovenproof dish, add sugar, grill for 3 minutes until golden and caramelised

6. Serve with the strawberries.
