Ingredients

1kg large chunks beef

1 sliced onion

3 cloves garlic, sliced

1 tbs whole black peppercorns

1 cinnamon stick

1 bay

250ml red wine

2 x 400g tin tomatoes

200ml beef stock

50ml red wine vinegar

400g tin cannellini beans

Method

1. Brown the meat on all sides, remove

2. Gently fry the onion and garlic for 5 minutes in plenty of olive oil

3. Add everything except the vinegar and beans

4. Cover and cook at 180C for at least 2 hours

5. Stir in the beans and vinegar and cook 10 minutes more

6. Serve with parsley and crusty bread
