Masterful and quirky Belgian thriller tracing a tense and unsettling journey through a complex labyrinth of secrets, lies and violence that plagues a seemingly peaceful local community
Kato Hoeven wakes up bruised and bloodied in Hotel Beau Sejour. After seeing her own dead body lying in the bath, she flees from the place and tries to get help, but no one seems to see or hear her.
Detectives Schneider and Plettinckx question the family about Kato's murder. At her own funeral, Kato encounters the five people who can see her and points the police team in the right direction.
When the police find out Kato was possibly murdered in room 108 of Hotel Beau Sejour, Leon's mother Melanie, who owns the place, fears it will destroy her business. What is Kato's friend Ines up to?
The hotel's grand reopening takes place. Plettinckx thinks Melanie is hiding something and tries to get hold of her DNA. Schneider follows a lead abroad but takes things too far. A confession is made.
Alexander says he'll identify Kato's killer, naming Dutch drug dealer Hannes Vanderkerk, the motorcyclist in security footage from the petrol station. But when Kato pursues him, she gets a surprise.
After Charlie's anonymous tip, the police arrest Vanderkerk, leaving Alexander uneasy. Kato finds out Ines deals drugs. Sofia discovers her mother had an affair. Luc convinces Kristel he can see Kato.
When the video of Sofia and Leon at the hotel appears online, Kato confronts Sofia. Luc manipulates Kristel. Alexander is suspended from the police. Schneider and Plettinckx receive the DNA results.
The whole town is shocked by the double murder. Kato suspects the remaining seers are hiding something. Melanie is distraught, Alexander tries to track down the killer and Charlie becomes unstable.
Schneider isn't convinced that Charlie's the killer, despite his confession. Alexander's theory about Vanderkerk and his gang falls apart. Kato chases a new lead and goes to see her father about Ines.
Determined to get to the truth, Schneider digs deeper and establishes a connection between Vanderkerk and Alexander. Kato finds herself trapped and afraid in the dark. Is one of the seers responsible?
