The rumours are true, Chelsee Healey has joined Hollyoaks, and she’ll be making her mark in the village this Autumn as Goldie McQueen.

If you think scam artist/occasional shoplifter Myra is bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Goldie McQueen is tough, gobby and absolutely shameless, but the one thing she cares about more than making easy money is her twins, Prince and Hunter, who she had in her teens. She'd go to the ends of the earth for her lads and will defend them like a lioness.

Talking about her new role, Chelsee, (who you might recognise from Waterloo Road), said: “I am absolutely thrilled to join Hollyoaks. I’ve grown up watching it so to be in it is unbelievable. It was an irresistible opportunity, especially to play this character.”

“I can’t believe I am playing a mum but the boys are so fantastic to work with and we are all delighted by our new family unit.”

Malique Thompson-Dwyer will play Prince (left), who has confidence in bucketloads and more front than Blackpool. He’s rebellious, adventurous, and thrives on the attention of the ladies. His more sensitive, charming and creative twin Hunter will be played by Theo Graham. Whilst Hunter loves his mum to bits and tries his best to stay out of any serious trouble, that's more easily said than done with a brother like Prince.

Goldie will turn up in the village later this year in search of her ‘posh’ relatives Myra, Mercedes and John Paul, but they're less than thrilled by her arrival.

Cue the chaos!
