Carmen prepares to do whatever it takes to save her latest consignment from a rival gang. Serbian criminal Zarko proves a ruthless opponent, and it seems the Justice Department haven't been so quiet.
Now her latest shipment of drugs has been intercepted by the Justice Department, Carmen's plans to get out of crime are in tatters, and Rosales holds her responsible for the entire missing consignment
Carmen is increasingly convinced there's a mole in her organisation. She suspects a number of people, including Storm. John is arrested by the police on suspicion of failing to stop after an accident.
The Mexican cartel send a delegation to the Netherlands to interrogate Carmen and Rosales. A police operation is set up, headed by Jim Leeflang, aiming to arrest them as soon as they make contact.
Carmen goes into hiding on an old canal boat that used to belong to Frans. Now that Luther is back on her side, she gets him to protect the children and find out for sure whether Storm is the mole.
Carmen comes up with a plan to get the seized drugs back from the Justice Department and return them to the Mexican cartel. Leeflang tries to get Natalie on his side, and John decides he's had enough.

Social Services threaten to remove Carmen's parental authority. She asks Luther to take little Irwan to safety while she makes preparations to leave the country. Jack van Zon holds Sandrina hostage.
