Shades of Guilt
Maximilian Rapp has been convicted of 23 murders, but detective Tara Scholl finds out that he has an alibi for at least one of them. And then another body turns up.
Tara is sent on leave for allowing Rapp to get away, so Henry takes over the investigation. Tara has failed to give Henry vital information as she continues her search for the murderer.
An attempt at reconstructing a murder attributed to Rapp leads to the discovery of a young Syrian refugee, Khalil, hiding at the crime scene who is in possession of the murder weapon
The urn holding the ashes of one of Rapp's supposed victims, Hans Willke, is stolen so Tara and Henry investigate. Meanwhile, Rapp's demands are becoming excessive.
Rapp has revoked his confession to another murder: the death of the beautiful Helena Hussek. Now Dr Christian Bohn is implicated; is his alibi genuine? And Henry's mistrust of Rapp comes to a head.
Tara receives an anonymous warning to stop further investigation into the murders, but she is not deterred. Only Rapp knows who sent the message and he can't resist digging for more.
