Special rules apply to election reporting and to programmes broadcast in the run-up to elections. For detailed advice on this subject, please contact your allocated programme lawyer. There are separate Ofcom rules governing Party Political, Referendum and Party Election Broadcasts. In addition, at the time of elections, separate guidance will be issued by Channel 4's legal and compliance department.
