The Secret Millionaire
returns for a brand new series. This week, multi millionaire Sean Gallagher is going on an undercover journey to Middlesbrough which will see more than two decades of hidden pain brought to the surface.

12 years ago, Sean Gallagher risked his life savings to set up his own IT recruitment agency. It was a gamble that paid off and now there's nothing this multi-millionaire bachelor likes more than spoiling himself and his two nieces.  But his closeness to them stems from a family tragedy; 25 years ago their mother - Sean's only sibling - died from an epileptic fit. Sean's never dealt with her loss and hasn't spoken to anyone about his grief, not even his nieces. Now, he's going on an undercover journey to Middlesbrough which will see more than two decades of hidden pain brought to the surface.

Sean's search for people to help leads him to local charity Abbie's Love. Organisers Richard and Tracy lost their daughter Abbie to epilepsy after she suffered a seizure in the night. After initially struggling to share the story of his own loss, Sean returns to the charity and in heart wrenching moment, Richard and Sean are united in their grief. Sean throws himself into their fundraising efforts to buy epilepsy bed alarms for local people - like 21 year old Vicky who developed the condition after suffering from leukaemia.  The alarm system can mean the difference between life and death for people like Vicky.

Through the process of helping Richard and Tracey and the other people he meets in Middlesbrough, such as youth charity Fairbridge Teeside, Sean begins to deal with his personal anguish. Along the way he makes a huge difference to the lives of the people he meets, giving away £130,000 of his own money and pledging to double Richard and Tracey's fundraising efforts for the year.
