Why did you apply to take part in The Inheritance?
I applied to take part because I feel that it's something that I'd be good at. When I heard what the whole show was about, I felt like it'd be cool seeing how I would work in this scenario, in this environment. And it sounds fun. When the door opened, I just had to go through it and we’ll see what happens.
Tell us a bit about yourself and what you think you can bring to the game.
I'd say a bit of confidence. I’m very outgoing. I'll hopefully want to bring out my personality and make myself heard. Also, I feel like I'm good at gauging other people and I push myself when I want to do something. When there's a task to fulfil, I'm going to want to do it and try my best. It might be something I'm terrible at, but I'm still going to try my best.
Would you call yourself a team player?
I'd call myself a team player in the grand scheme of things. If we're doing anything that involves more than one person and I'm a part of that group, then I'll be a team player, because we have to do it as a group. But then if there's a scenario where I have to do something by myself, or I have to decide things by myself, then I'll happily do that as well. I'm a team player until it's no longer a team!
Would you say you're competitive?
Yes, very much so. It was say five, six years ago, playing Monopoly at Christmas time with the family and well, I wasn't the best person that evening, because I was so invested in the game. I got really, really annoyed for losing so much that I've never played Monopoly with my family since. They refused to play with me because I was too competitive, and I did not like losing. It gets in my gut when it's something that I want to be good at, and I think I'm good at, if I don't win and that eats me up in inside.
How are your powers of persuasion? Are you good at winning people over to your way of thinking?
I'd say I'm good at bringing up my point and making my point clear to the point where the person opposite me will understand what I'm trying to say. I'll explain until they have understood my point of view and where I'm coming from, and with that, I might then persuade them and might make them think more like me. I don't really tend to go out of my way to make someone change their opinion on something if it's different to mine. Yeah, I like dogs. If you like cats, I'm not going to try and persuade you otherwise. It’s not that deep, really!
If you succeed and walk away with a large amount of money from this game, what are you going to spend it on?
I'm not someone that tends to spend a lot of money, I’m a saver so I’d try to do that. However, if there's a large amount of money, I might just treat myself. I'll probably go explore the world, go on a holiday, and maybe something for my family and friends.
