Marketing Director from London

Where are you from?
I was born in New Zealand, that's where my parents brought me up, then I moved to France to study French and Italian, and then moved to London because I needed stability in life. Right now, I’m spending time in Morocco setting up a project where I get to rescue animals and surf everyday, so I’m splitting my life between London city lifestyle and more laidback life in Morocco.

What do you do for work?
I'm the marketing director at a members club in London, so I make sure we have cool events booked. DJs from the likes of David Guetta, Camelphat, Martinez brothers, anyone who basically performs anywhere in the world, we get them.

What’s your lifestyle like?
I love to travel. I love to be on the move. I'd say my lifestyle is lavish and basic. It's good to have a bit of both. My life in London is pretty basic. I have more of a routine: wake up, work, gym, eat on repeat, and then in the weekends, party. When I stay in the South of France in summer, it’s more of a lavish lifestyle: Going to beach clubs and drinks by the pool.

What’s your type?
My type is unknown. I'm still trying to find her. I've dated every type, but I've always gone for the materialistic girl, which is a type I'm trying to move on from now. The perfect woman for me is someone who's active and a bit of an adrenaline junkie but who can also dress up nicely to go to a nice restaurant. It's a bit of both.

What makes you want to move on from materialistic girls?
I'm not materialistic at all. I have nice things and I like nice things, but it’s not a main factor. If I'm on a holiday, I'm not going on a holiday to shop. I'm going to enjoy and explore.

What about looks wise?
My dream girl would be a combination of Margot Robbie and Megan Fox.

How would you describe yourself?
I'm the sort of person who's very carefree. I don't overthink anything. I’m easy-going and up for a challenge. I throw myself in the deep end at all times.

Are you a good judge of character?
I'd like to say I'm quite good at reading other people, but I don't know. I've been fooled before. It depends how good the person is at bluffing. As much as you think you know them, they could be a completely different person.

What are people’s first impression of you?
When people first meet me, they don't expect how nice I am. I think I come across through social media completely in a different way. A materialistic, shallow sort of person. But I'm completely not that. And I love animals. Animals are my life. I fully live and breathe just to be around them.

What’s giving the impression you’re materialistic?
They see on social media I live a luxurious lifestyle. I travel a lot. My summers I might be in Mykonos or Saint-Tropez, just flying away most weekends with my friends. It's hard to catch me in London over any weekend. I always go back to Morocco to humble myself. And being around my family, they humble me very quickly by calling me a brat as soon as they see me.

How would friends describe you?
My friends would say I’m the life of the party. I’m someone who’s just got a lot of life energy, and the one they always expect to do stupid shit. But they’d also say, I’m quite loving and I’d always have their back.

Have you ever cheated in a relationship?
I cheated on just one partner and unfortunately, I cheated a few times on her. I got caught. I didn't confess. She found out. She heard a rumour, and I had to tell her it's not a rumour.

Have you ever been cheated on?
I haven't been cheated on physically, but I found out about an ex-partner messaging other guys. I found out because I went through her phone. You know, when you have that gut feeling that something's up? My gut feeling was right.

Can you forgive dishonesty in a relationship, or do you walk away?
Once you've lost trust - Goodbye. I will make sure to just drop you straight away. It's pretty natural and easy for me now.

Where would you take a date to impress them?
I've done first dates in Paris, Amsterdam, the South of France… anywhere in Europe.

Where would you take a date in London?
First date really depends on the girl. If she’s a chilled, laid-back girl, we might go to Duke of York Square on Saturday morning, walk around the market, get some fresh food. If she's a bit more pretentious, I'd say go out in Soho, have a few drinks at a few cool cocktail bars I know.

What are your dating red flags?
I'd say my red flags are definitely a beige palette. A girl who doesn't eat fruit and veg or who just eats carbonara or whatever. No! Having no manners is a big one. And someone who's lazy and complacent. Just stay on the sofa – Stay away from me!

What are the top traits when you're looking for in a girl?
I'd say top of my checklist is she has to be driven. She has to want to get up in the morning and be productive. Then she has to love sport and animals.

Are you a sporty guy?
I love anything sports related. Playing sports, watching sports, even watching sport documentaries. My life is rugby, surfing, skiing, tennis, padel. Anything that's sport related, I'll be throwing myself in the deep end of it.

How do you tend to meet girls? Is it apps? Is it on nights out? Is it through work?
I meet girls mainly through social media. They pop up in the DMs. And on nights out. I'll happily talk to anyone. I had a few of the apps but I deleted them after a couple weeks because I thought they were just a bit boring. Not really a fun way to meet someone.

What are you looking for in a relationship?
Right now I'm looking for that person who's happy to just do everything with me like a best mate: Travel with me; work out with me.

Why do you think you're ready for a relationship now?
I'm ready for a relationship because I'm just in the best headspace I've ever been in my life. I've never been so positive, outgoing, so happy to explore life, and I feel like now is the perfect time to meet someone.

Do you have a tell that gives away when you’re lying?
I don't think anyone can tell when I'm lying. Even when I play stupid games, like ‘Two Truths, One Lie’. I smash that one every time!

What’s your worst trait?
I just don't bite my tongue. I don't think before speaking. I get myself in trouble all the time with what I say.

How important is honesty in a relationship?
Honesty is definitely key. If you don't have honesty, you might as well just give up there and then.

Do you think you should be 100% honest in a relationship?
I think you should definitely be 100% honest with a bit of white lies. It softens the blow. If a girl asks, “Do I look nice in this dress”, you’ll naturally say yes, even if that’s not the case. Sometimes honesty hurts.

Are you an honest person?
I'm definitely way too honest. I don't mind shying away from the honesty.
