Where’s home for you?

My living situation is a little bit all over the shop. I'm a bit of a digital nomad, so I kind of live here, there and everywhere. I'm trying to find my forever home. Most of the time I spend in Dubai and in Marbella, and then I come back to the UK just to see family.

Do you prefer Dom or Dominika?
I was actually born in Poland, and Dominika is a Polish name. But once I moved to the UK, everyone started calling me Dom. The name Dom in Polish actually means house. When I first moved here, it was just so weird for people to call me house, but now I'm just kind of used to it.

Moving to the UK at the age of six was a bit of a shock to the system. Not speaking a word of English when I came was pretty difficult, but as you can tell, I've got a very strong Yorkshire accent now, so caught up with it quite quickly.

What do you do for work?
I'm actually a registered nurse. I worked as a nurse for three years before I wanted to become an entrepreneur and work for myself. I don't like working for other people. I don't like people telling me what to do. I've always been into fitness. During the pandemic I thought, you know what - I'm going to quit my nursing job and just start as a fitness coach. I started personal training in person and then eventually moved to online coaching. Now I travel the world, help women and I just love it.

How do you think your friends would describe you?
My friends would describe me as a diva. Very dramatic, honest, funny, caring. A lot of my friends actually call me the mum of the group, even though I'm probably the youngest one.

Would you say you’re an honest person?
I'm definitely a very honest person. Sometimes I can be brutal. That is one thing my friends actually like about me, because I never beat around the bush. I just tell them straight how it is.

Are you a spiritual person?
I am a huge believer in the universe. Angel numbers, the power of crystals, the full moon, the new moon. Everything happens for a reason. On my way here, the taxi had 222 on the reg plate and my numerology real number is 222. Then when I looked up what 222 signified, it meant true love is just around the corner. How crazy is that?

How long have you been single?
I've been single for a year now. I've only ever been in two long term relationships and both of them ended not from my side. So I got dumped twice. I've never been the dumper.

How does it feel being the dumpee?
Dumpee sucks. As much as I always say I'd like to be the dumper, I don't think I would. I'm too nice. I don't think I'd want to hurt anybody. I don't want to be the nasty person. I would rather be the dumpee.

Would you say you were in love?
With my last relationship, I was definitely in love. I thought I'd found my man for life. I was really, really happy. We were really happy. Then things just changed overnight, and that really hit home. The last year has been a year of healing for me, and it's something I really, really struggled with, but I've come out of it so much better now.

How did it make you feel when he called things off?
When he called things off, it was a very heartbreaking for me. It is probably the most pain I have ever been in.

Are you hoping to find love in Truetopia?
I am hoping I find love here. That's what I've come here for. I am so ready to find my man. Settle and just be happy happily ever after.

Have you ever cheated on a partner?
I can hand on heart say I have never cheated on any of my partners. Because when I love my other half, my eyes are only for them.

Have you ever been cheated on?
In my first relationship. I was with him for four years, and I had a suspicion that he was texting his co-worker. One day when I walked into the place he worked, I caught him with her, so my suspicions were always right.

Would you say you’re a relationship girl?
I love being in a relationship. I love having someone to share my life with and experiences. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to be single every now and again. But I would choose relationship life over single life any day. I just like a cuddle.

What are you like in a relationship?
When I'm in a relationship, I am very loving and very caring. I'll cook for you, I'll clean for you. I'll do everything you need me to. I'll be videographer, I'll be photographer. Whatever it is you need, I will do anything for you.
I think I'm just a caring person from my background as a nurse. I've got a mothering, caring nature. It's not just in relationships. I'm like that with friends as well. I look after everybody around me all the time.

How has the world of dating been treating you this time around?
These men are dogs! I got a phone call for a guy the other day, and he said to me, “We can no longer continue because I've got a different girl pregnant”. I was like, “Okay, nice knowing you”. The second guy I went on a date with straight after that told me I was the number nine on his roster. Like, what?!

How do you tend to meet guys?
I'm not a dating app kind of girl. I like to meet people in person. I like to sense the energy. I like to see the aura and just see what they're about. Because anyone can put on a fake personality over text or over a dating app. But if you actually see them in person you get to gauge what they're actually like. And it's not as shallow because somebody's personality can win you over.

What do you look for?
So obviously it's going to be a tall, dark and handsome kind of vibe because who doesn't like a tall, dark and handsome guy? But you need to have a really nice smile, dark hair. I don't care about the eye colour, a bit of a beard. Well-built because I'm a gym girl.

And personality wise?
Personality number one. You have to be funny. You have to have banter because no one wants to talk to a wall. You have to be caring and affectionate. I'm such an affectionate and touchy-feely person. It has to be both ways. You’ve got to be able to communicate with adults: somebody that just has an argument and walks out is not for me. You have to have ambition because I'm quite social and ambitious.. I'm not saying you have to be the most successful man in the world, but as long as you have ambition and you have drive to do things, I'm here for it. Nothing more attractive than that.

Do you have good gut instinct?
I do have a good gut instinct when it comes to meeting people for the first time. However, I have been sidetracked a few times because I like to always think that everyone's nice and everyone's my friend. But that is not the case, and I have learned my lesson with that. So I now approach with caution.

What are your red flags?
Red flags in a guy for me are when his social media following list looks like a strip club. I mean girl after girl after girl. Or when he says, “I like the natural girls” and all his girls are just plastered in makeup and BBLs. Another red flag would be when he turns his phone face down at the table. What are you trying to hide?

What are your turn ons? 

My turn ons are when somebody's got good hygiene and they smell nice, somebody that looks after themselves and has life skills. You have got to be able to cook and clean. Your mum ain't doing that for you and I'm not doing that for you. I’d do it because I want to, not because I have to.

Are you a trusting person?

I'm trusting of people that give me a reason to trust them. If you break my trust, I probably won't trust you again. I've actually not adhered to that rule really. I've given people two, three, four chances and they've just repeatedly gone and broken my trust. So I said from this year, no more second chances. You have one chance. You break it, you're gone. Adios!

What’s more important love or money?
Love is far more important to me than anything else. I could be living in a wheelie bin, but as long as I'm with my partner, I'm happy.

Are you prepared for possibly treading on toes to find your perfect match?
I will swim so many lengths to find the right man. If needs be, I will step on people's toes. I am a Gemini. I have two sides. I will be that sweet, nice little Dom, but I will also step on your toes if I need to. So watch yourself.

What would you like to get out of this experience?
I would really like to find the love of my life. Somebody that I can travel with, somebody that I can have a family with, someone that I can grow my life with. We can grow together and live happily ever after because there are happy endings. I like to believe that there are.
