Channel 4 Sales Completes Senior Team with Appointments from Amazon and Reddit

Channel 4 Sales has completed its new senior leadership team, appointing David Amodio as Head of Sales and Jay Kassam as Head of Business Operations & Revenue Innovation. 

David and Jay join Channel 4 Sales’ senior leadership team in January, under the leadership of Chief Commercial Officer Rak Patel to set and drive overall strategy including a new sales and service model, increased focus on brands, plus best-in-class uses of ad-tech and trading. They will join Ed Chalmers, Head of Trading; Sam Hicks, Head of Advertiser Strategy; and, Barry John, Head of Advertising Operations.

In this new role, David will deliver Channel 4's sales strategy across the UK agency landscape, bringing together teams of Agency Sales Leaders and specialist team expertise. 

He joins from Amazon Ads where he heads up the Video Sales Specialist Team across Northern Europe, advancing Amazon's video advertising offerings including Prime Video, Live Sports, Twitch and Amazon’s third-party video publisher network. Prior to Amazon, David spent 18 years at Channel 4, where he held a number of senior roles including leading the streaming team as well as the creative team, plus commercial innovation.

In another newly created role, Jay will be responsible for driving the overall business strategy for Channel 4 Sales, developing innovative commercial solutions, and maximising sales efficiency. He joins Channel 4 from Reddit, where he lead Revenue Strategy & Operations and was responsible for growing ad revenues across the Global Scaled business. Prior to Reddit, he has also held positions at Spotify and Groupon.
