Channel 4 commission Chris Stark celebrity documentary from Mentorn

Category: News Release

Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off documentary special from Mentorn Media, which will see Radio 1 regular Chris Stark attempt to meet his ultimate bucket list of celebrities.

Commissioned by Emma Cooper this one-hour doc will follow Chris as he takes the first tentative steps on his journey to meet the 100 famous faces that he genuinely is gasping to get to know better. He will be pulling in favours, twisting arms and crossing fingers as he seeks to meet an array of weird and wonderful celebrities, learning more about the unique worlds around them.

Whether Chris can actually meet them or not is another question.

From A-list superstars to childhood crushes, ageing action heroes to world leaders, we’ll get a unique insight into Chris’ world view.

Gaining infamy for doing a wonderfully unorthodox interview with Hollywood A-lister Mila Kunis for BBC Radio 1’s The Scott Mills Show, Chris’s questioning went viral on YouTube and garnered over 12 million views.

Emma Cooper, Commissioning Editor at Channel 4 said: “I am really excited to be working with Chris who I think has a unique ability to get close to celebrity in a way that surprises and engages the audience and generates new insights about them as people rather than ‘stars’.”

Mentorn Media’s Creative Director, Mark Roberts, said: “Chris is someone whose fame comes from the radio and the web – we are delighted to be bringing him to TV.”

Directed by award winning director Matt Rudge.
