BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH (Dominic Cummings)

Academy Nominee Benedict Cumberbatch is best known for playing the title role in SHERLOCK HOLMES, which has earned him international acclaim and several awards including a Best Actor Emmy in 2014. In 2015 Benedict portrayed Alan Turing in the multi award winning film THE IMITATION GAME. It was a role that earned him overwhelming critical acclaim and a BAFTA, Golden Globe and Academy nomination as Best Actor.

Benedict’s other notable big screen performances include ‘THE HOBBIT’, STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS, THE FIFTH ESTATE, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, WARHORSE, TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY, STARTER FOR TEN, AMAZING GRACE, STUART: A LIFE BACKWARD, THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL, ATONEMENT, DR STRANGE, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, THE CHILD IN TIME, and PATRICK MELROSE for which he has received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Benedict studied Drama at Manchester University before training at The London Academy of Dramatic Art (LAMDA). His television roles have included BAFTA nominations for THE HOLLOW CROWN, HAWKING and SMALL ISLAND, and an Emmy nomination for PARADES END.  

On stage, Benedict has received multiple awards for roles including Teesman in Richard Eyre’s stunning West End ensemble production of HEDDA GABBLER, and alternating the roles of creature and Dr. Frankenstein in Danny Boyle’s production of ‘FRANKENSTEIN’. In 2015 his HAMLET at London’s Barbican Theatre broke box office records.

 

RORY KINNEAR (Craig Oliver)

Rory Kinnear is an award-winning British actor, perhaps best known for his role as “Bill Tanner” in the James Bond films QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SKYFALL and SPECTRE. Rory’s other film credits include TRESPASS AGAINST US, IBOY, MAN UP, CUBAN FURY, BROKEN (for which he won ‘Best Supporting Actor’ at the BIFA’s), WILD TARGET and THE IMITATION GAME with Benedict Cumberbatch. Rory’s television credits include INSIDE NO. 9, GUERRILLA, QUACKS, THE CASUAL VACANCY, PENNY DREADFUL, the sitcom COUNT ARTHUR STRONG, the Tony Grisoni-written SOUTHCLIFFE (for which he was nominated for a Bafta for Best Supporting Actor), LOVING MISS HATTO, Charlie Brooker’s BLACK MIRROR, Bolingbroke in Rupert Goold's RICHARD II and as Lord Lucan in ITV’s LUCAN.  His most recent releases include Mike Leigh’s latest epic PETERLOO and the BBC’s WATERSHIP DOWN.   He is currently filming Russel T Davies’ years and years opposite Emma Thompson and CATHERINE THE GREAT opposite Helen Mirren.

Rory’s theatre work includes winning the Evening Standard Award’s ‘Best Actor’ in 2010, for his performances in MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Almeida Theatre) and HAMLET (National Theatre), and again in 2013 for his performance as Iago in OTHELLO (National Theatre). For the latter role he has also picked up an Olivier Award – an award he also won (‘Best Supporting Actor’) for his performance as Sir Fopling Flutter in THE MAN OF MODE in 2008. Rory’s recent stage credits include Rufus Norris’ THE THREEPENNY OPERA and MACBETH and the inaugural production at the new Bridge Theatre, YOUNG MARX.  Kinnear is also an award-winning playwright for his debut play THE HERD and this year made his directorial debut with the English National Opera’s production of A WINTER’S TALE.

 

JOHN HEFFERNAN (Matthew Elliot)

John Heffernan has worked extensively in Film, TV and Theatre. His recent television credits include BBC’s COLLATERAL, the award-winning THE CROWN for Netflix, as well as roles in LUTHER and JONATHAN STRANGE & MR NORRELL. John has had numerous appearances on stage for the National Theatre and RSC, including EDWARD II and Angus Jackson’s OPPENHEIMER. He is currently shooting on the feature film THE BANISHING and he’s shot two other films this year, RADIOACTIVE & OFFICIAL SECRETS.

 

LIZ WHITE (Mary Wakefield)

Liz White has worked extensively in TV and Film. Her recent television credits include Channel 4’s ACKLEY BRIDGE, the award-winning CALL THE MIDWIFE for BBC ONE, as well as roles in GRANTCHESTER and LINE OF DUTY. For film, she has appeared in Matthew Warchus’ PRIDE and James Watkins’ THE WOMAN IN BLACK.

 

KYLE SOLLER (Zack Massingham)

Kyle Soller can currently be seen on stage in the West End transfer of THE INHERITANCE PART 1 & 2 at the Noel Coward Theatre. In 2016 he starred in HEDDA GABLER at the National Theatre, directed by Ivo van Hove.  For television, Kyle has starred in POLDARK, THE HOLLOW CROWN and has previously appeared alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in HENRY VI directed by Ben Power. Other recent television work includes AN INSPECTOR CALLS, YOU ME & THE APOCALYPSE and BAD EDUCATION. In film, Kyle has recently starred alongside Anya Taylor Joy in MARROWBONE, THE KEEPING ROOM, MONSTERS DARK CONTINENT, and ANNA KARENINA directed by Joe Wright.

 

SIMON PAISLEY DAY (Douglas Carswell)

Simon has recently appeared in films including TRIXIE, LYREBIRD and VICTORIA AND ABDUL as well as BORN A KING, BEAUTY, THE PROGRAM, TOMMY'S HONOUR, MINDGAMERS, THE FALLING, MADAME BOVARY, QUEEN AND COUNTRY, THE EMPEROR, EAGLE OF THE NINTH, CHURCHILL - THE HOLLYWOOD YEARS, THE HEART OF ME.  His TV credits include THE CROWN, VICTORIA, FAMILY TREE, LUCKY MAN, SHERLOCK, RELIEF OF BELSEN, DOC MARTIN, SPARTACUS, DOCTOR WHO, DA VINCI'S DEMONS, MUSKETEERS, BEING HUMAN, TITANIC, RED DWARF. 

 

RICHARD GOULDING (Boris Johnson)

Richard’s film credits include ME BEFORE YOU and THE IRON LADY. For TV, he has appeared in THE WINDORS for Channel 4 and the BBC’s KING CHARLES III, as well as FRESH MEAT and RIPPER STREET. He has recently finished filming Dearbhla Walsh’s TRAITORS and Paul Whittington’s WHITE HOUSE FARM MURDERS. 

 

OLIVER MALTMAN (Michael Gove)

Oliver most recently appeared in Michael Pearce’s critically acclaimed feature BEAST. This Christmas he will star alongside Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in WATSON & HOLMES. Oliver’s television credits include the award-winning Netflix series THE CROWN, LIAR for ITV, KNIGHTFALL for the History Channel and MORGANA ROBINSON’S: THE AGENCY. He recently wrapped on MISTER WINNER for the BBC1 and is currently co-writing a series for BBC2.

 

PAUL RYAN (Nigel Farage)

Paul has worked extensively in theatre and television. His credits include ROBIN HOOD, EASTENDERS, THE FIVE, FAMILY AFFAIRS and THE INSPECTOR LINDLEY MYSTERIES. Paul can currently be seen as 'Gramps' in the Bafta-nominated WAFFLE THE WONDER DOG for CBeebies.

 

LEE BOARDMAN (Aaron Banks)

Lee has worked extensively across film and television in the UK and internationally. His most recent credits include: ABSENTIA (Amazon), Seasons 1 and 2 of BANCROFT (ITV), OUTLANDER (Left Bank Pictures) and THE LAST KINGDOM (Netflix/ BBC) for television, Lee also stars in Mike Leigh's latest feature PETERLOO.
