Re-running the Cannonball (Live 29th July)

This intriguing fly-on-the-wall short from Channel 4 documents The 2904, a low budget, long distance endurance car race from New York to Los Angeles, for those who scorn the Gumball Rally, and based on the now infamous Cannonball Run races, which took place across the continental US in the 1970s.

The name ‘2904’ is also the dollar budget set by the race organisers, to include the purchase price of the car, fixing it up, fuelling it, food for the road – and the cost of any speeding tickets picked up along the way! The gruelling nature of The 2904 is not for the fainthearted racer.
