Zuma appears in court accused of corruption

South Africa’s former president Jacob Zuma has appeared in court to face corruption charges linked to an arms deal that dates back to before he became the country’s leader. Zuma was dogged by the claims against him throughout his presidency, before he was finally forced from office two months ago. Today, in a defiant appearance outside the court, he continued to deny the allegations.
