Yemen conflict: UN accuses all sides of human rights abuse

International Editor

The most comprehensive report yet for the UN into the war in Yemen has found appalling failure to protect civilians. The Saudi-led coalition, which is trying to restore the Yemeni government, is fighting Houthi rebels who took over vast swathes of the country.

The report finds all parties to the conflict have done things which could break international law. Foreign powers, including the UK, also come in for criticism for helping to arm the coalition and for the damage caused by air strikes.
