‘Xi shifting position’ on Russia and Ukraine says Chatham House expert

Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held what he said was a ‘long and meaningful’ telephone call with President Xi Jinping of China.

It’s the first contact between the two leaders since Russia invaded Ukraine, and the Chinese have never criticised Russia’s aggression.
