Wisconsin opens emergency field hospitals to cope with Covid surge

In the US, emergency field hospitals in Wisconsin have been been opened to cope with soaring numbers of coronavirus cases and deaths.

The state now has one of the worst Covid outbreaks in America, and a combination of political complacency and public fatigue means it shows no signs of improving any time soon.

A week before the presidential election, it is also a key battleground state.
