WHO says working with China is essential after Trump accuses organisation of being too China-centric

Agree or disagree, there’s no denying President Donald Trump’s blunt in his messaging. Today, he accused the World Health Organization of being too “China-centric” in its handling of the pandemic saying they “really blew it”.

The WHO countered, saying that working with China is essential – and sending a firm message that easing the Europe-wide lockdown now would be ‘extremely dangerous’.

That warning came as more people died today in UK hospitals than ever before in this pandemic, and equipment shortages and oxygen supply issues remain prominent.
