What Syria’s new army might look like

The leader of Syria’s HTS rebel group has promised to disband the armed factions that toppled Bashar al Assad and unite them under the authority of the defence ministry.

But what will that new army look like?

Our team went beyond Damascus with some of the rebel fighters as they ventured inside captured government military buildings – seizing supplies of weapons from the sites where so many Syrians were tortured and killed.
