Wales starts 17-day ‘firebreak’ lockdown

This evening, Wales has begun a 17-day national lockdown, described as a “firebreak”, to prevent NHS services there from being overwhelmed.

All non-essential shops, hospitality and leisure venues are closed, while people are being told to stay at home for all but the most necessary reasons.
