US election 2020: have we learnt the lessons from 2016?

The 2016 election result shocked nearly everyone.

The question now is: could it happen all over again?

In this video, we look at why the state polls got it wrong last time and whether they could do the same again as Joe Biden takes on President Trump. Are there enough undecided voters this time around to shake things up?

We also look at whether Trump will cling onto the “Rust Belt” and the role of voter suppression and how the coronavirus pandemic might affect who gets to vote in the 2020 race.

With interviews with UCL’s Dr Thomas Gift, journalist Sarah Jaffe and voting rights expert Ari Berman.
