Unprecedented scenes in parliament

As expected, the bill to block a no-deal Brexit went through the Commons tonight, but there was an unexpected amendment and Boris Johnson reaffirmed that he wants a general election on October 15th.

All that follows a day when the Prime Minister uttered a four letter word and got reprimanded by the Speaker.

MPs applauded a Labour member who branded Mr Johnson a racist.

That snatched photo of a reclining Jacob Rees-Mogg went viral.
