UK’s chief Brexit negotiator says trade deal with the EU might not be agreed

The UK’s chief Brexit negotiator has said a trade deal with the European Union might not be agreed – although as Lord Frost headed back to Brussels today for a fresh round of talks, he said there had been progress “in a positive direction” over the last few days.

As the clock ticks down on reaching a deal, it’s yet more pressure on the government – as Downing Street struggles to get beyond a week of highly public political infighting.
