Ukraine’s fast-track application to Nato will ‘stoke tensions’, says US Institute of Peace

The UK has ramped up sanctions against Russia in response to President Putin’s illegal annexation of parts of Ukraine.

The Russian ambassador in London was summoned to the Foreign Office to be told of the UK’s objections “in the strongest possible terms.”

We spoke to Donald Jensen, the Director of Russia and Strategic Stability at the US Institute of Peace.  He used to work for the US State Department.
