Ukraine asks West for more air defence systems

Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy has urged Western leaders to send him more air defence systems, a day after Russian missiles rained down on numerous cities including the capital Kyiv.

Addressing a virtual meeting of the G7, Mr Zelenskyy also called for more financial aid, to help build what he called an “air shield”.

Yesterday’s strikes have left analysts trying to work out the depths of Russia’s arsenal of missiles.
