UK virus testing to be increased – but why are tests for sale privately for £375?

As the World Health Organisation urged countries again today to test all suspected cases, the British Prime Minister announced that tests will be increased to 25,000 a day, up from the 10,000 NHS England promised just last week.

The extra testing comes after weeks of pressure from doctors and nurses on the frontline.
