UK taskforce created to speed up development and manufacture of coronavirus vaccine

“I would love to be able to wave a magic wand,” said the Health Secretary today when asked about protective equipment. The issue of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the effort to get it to the NHS staff who urgently need it was one of the main questions he faced at the Health Select Committee. Ministers also announced they were setting up a special task force to speed up the development and manufacture of vaccines in the UK.
