UK Riots: Man who tried to set fire to asylum seeker hotel given longest sentence yet

Thomas Birley added fuel to a fire in a large industrial bin that was pushed against the exit of the Holiday Inn Express in his hometown of Rotherham.

Twelve hours of rioting in the town on August the 4th left 64 police officers injured.
