UK is ‘sleepwalking into disaster’ over post-Brexit border preparations, road hauliers warn

Britain risks “sleepwalking into disaster” after Brexit because border preparations are simply not adequate, according to road hauliers and logistics firms, who fear major disruption to the supply of goods and services when the transition period comes to an end.

Ministers have insisted they are “absolutely confident” that supply chains will keep moving, whether or not the UK and the European Union manage to agree a deal.
