UK government accused of not backing airport testing because of concern about capacity

The travel industry has suffered its worst summer season in living memory, and the aviation sector is on its knees with thousands of flights cancelled and workers facing redundancies.

So far the Government has refused to back a scheme to test passengers when they arrive back.

However, Germany has found a way of unlocking the skies with mass testing at its major airports, protecting German jobs. We can speak Our Business and Global Trade Correspondent Paul McNamara is in Frankfurt.
