UK Covid spending over £370bn – including billions on unusable PPE

British taxpayers could face many decades of financial risk – thanks to the enormous cost of the pandemic, according to a committee of MPs.

The Public Accounts Committee said emergency spending by the government had soared above £370 billion pounds – including cash wasted on unusable PPE.

They’ve called for an immediate inquiry to learn the lessons of what went wrong.
