UK businesses grappling with post-Brexit paperwork and border checks

From shortages on supermarket shelves to long queues of lorries at ports in Kent – businesses have been warned to prepare for “significant additional disruption” over the new border checks and paperwork which have come into force since Brexit.

The government says it will “redouble its efforts” to make sure trade can flow freely. But all the extra red tape means lots of goods aren’t even getting as far as the road.
