Europe Editor and Presenter

We asked the government for an interview on the trade negotiations developments but no one was available – but we were joined by Conservative MP Sir Bob Neill, who chairs the Commons Justice Committee.

He has tabled an amendment to the bill which he said would impose a “parliamentary lock” on any changes to the Withdrawal Agreement.

He was also on a conference call the prime minister held with 250 Tory MPs.
