UK and China launch stock exchange tie-up

In London, Chancellor Philip Hammond said he’d had an “extensive discussion” with the visiting Chinese Vice-Premier about Hong Kong, but was more keen to talk up close trade ties.

Hu Chunhua was in town to launch a new service allowing firms from both countries to list on each other’s stock exchanges.
